If you run a lot of programs at the same time, your Windows desktop can get as cluttered as your real one. You may find that you want to minimize all the windows, except the one you are working on presently. In version of Windows previous to Windows 7, you had to individually minimize each Window.
With Windows 7′s “shake” feature, you can minimize all those windows at once. To do this, follow these simple steps:
- Click and hold the title bar of the window you want to leave on the desktop
- While still holding the title bar, shake it quickly back and forth. All of the other windows minimize to the taskbar.
- Let go of the title bar. To make them return, shake the title bar again.
You can also minimize all the windows by pressing Window key + Home key on your keyboard. But, you may have more fun using the shake.
